Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions make it clear to us and our clients what should happen in any particular circumstance. They outline the important commercial terms we are providing to our clients and make it easier to grasp the obligations, privileges, and roles played by both parties.

Please Read Carefully Terms & Conditions of the JK WebApp

Here are the details of my website project terms. When we collaborate, they ought to support us. Note that occasionally a longer contract would be negotiated. However, this website ought to provide you a general understanding of the agreements we have. The terms mainly apply to web design projects, although they also cover domain names and online hosting.

Before the Work Starts

Before beginning any project-related work, a specification is agreed upon. This will be agreed together and decided before a project pricing is provided. If I provide you a work estimate before a complete specification is given, this is merely a work estimate. When the complete specification is decided, the pricing can change. A complete specification would typically require the provision of all website material and agreement on the functionality.

After a specification is approved, the client will be given a price and an approximate start and completion date (providing deposits are paid on time).

Payments and Deposit

  1. A 60 per cent deposit is required after pricing has been agreed upon; work cannot begin until the deposit has been paid in full and cleared in JK WebApp’s bank account.
  2. Regardless of the involvement of other parties, the remaining 40% will be charged after my involvement in the project is over. As stated on the invoices, the final payment of 40% must be made within 7 working days of my involvement in the project being finished.
  3. In the event that the job takes more than one month, I request interim payment(s) depending on the work finished. The interim payment or payments will lower the ultimate 40% payment.
  4. Only if no work begins will the deposit be returned.
  5. The deposit for minor jobs is up to my discretion and may change.
  6. You agree to pay us in full for the time we have spent working with you up to that point and to terminate the project if, at any point, you decide that you no longer want the product to be delivered or are unhappy with the way our work is going.
  7. The whole amount of the invoice for a Website Health Check must be paid before I begin working on it. I will send the invoice. No refunds are available.

Technical Standards

I abide by current web standards when I built the website (within the agreed specification and budget). Support for the most recent iterations of Microsoft Edge, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome will be evaluated. If you require further browser support, this should be covered in the initial quote and cost and should be discussed at the project’s outset.

Windows and Mac platforms are used to test the website.

I will test the site on an Android smartphone, tablet, and an Apple iOS device if the site requirements call for a mobile device-friendly design (also known as a responsive design). Additional testing can be requested, but the cost will increase.

Completion Date

  1. I’ll try my hardest to complete the project by the predetermined deadline. Sometimes, circumstances change, and I’ll give you notice if I can’t complete the project by the scheduled date.
  2. Requests for additional work or project modifications must be made in writing (for example, by email).
  3. The specified completion date and agreed-upon price may be affected by requests for more work or modifications to the project specification made after the specification has been agreed upon or after the project has begun. Any requests for additional work or project modifications will be priced for and, if approved, will be billed in advance as an interim payment.
  4. A “rush fee” will be charged if, for whatever reason, the client requests to change the completion date to an earlier time than agreed. However, this will be discussed before the rush work is begun.
  5. The client is responsible for reviewing the completed project in addition to my testing and checks.

Web Hosting Costs

Web hosting costs are paid yearly in advance or on a recurring basis each month. If you wish to cancel, please send me an email. The cancellation of hosting will not result in reimbursement.

If payment is not made a week after the invoice is due, web hosting accounts will be terminated. This implies that users of a website won’t be able to see it. When the invoice is fully paid, it might be reinstated.

There are separate Terms of Use for Web Hosting, according to Web Hosting Provider.

Domain and SSL Names

Domain names are purchased on your behalf and you own the name.

There are separate Terms of Use for Domain and SSL According to Web Hosting Provider or Domain Provider..

Payment Terms

I request payment for finished web design tasks within 7 days. It is 14 days for all other work, such as smaller web development jobs.

The requirements are prompt payment before the service begins for the Website Health Check.

We are VAT or GST registered.

The Last Bit

Agreement to the aforementioned terms is signified by payment of the initial 60 per cent deposit.

Paying for smaller tasks or my Website Health Check also constitutes acceptance of the aforementioned terms.

Website Health Check

More and more websites that I visit require assistance with site performance. Additionally, there are websites whose owners have contacted me to state they are no longer in touch with the original creator. A site assessment of these websites would be beneficial in order to develop new goals and possibly refocus the website’s purpose.

Here are the specifics of my new site testing service, keeping those points in mind. I’ll evaluate, for instance:

  • Site performance
  • Page content and code
  • Link problems
  • Call to actions
  • Mobile device usability
  • Social media effectiveness

On location, I conduct three tests. They will point out both the positive and negative aspects. They will let you know what’s functioning well and point out any issues that might arise. You will receive a comprehensive overview of the site from the testing. It is a check-up.

Some tests won’t be able to be performed for technological reasons in a tiny number of situations. I’ll give an update on these and/or offer an alternative report.

The Website Health Check will cost RS 2000.00.

Site Performance Test

Using two distinct performance assessment tools, this test evaluates the speed and performance of the site’s home page (and subsequent pages as necessary).

For several reasons, site performance is crucial. First, it has been demonstrated that faster websites result in better conversions and sales. After all, nobody enjoys waiting for a website’s pages to load slowly.

Recent research found:

Whenever a page takes longer than three seconds to load, 53% of mobile site visits are abandoned.

A ranking factor for Google is also site speed.

Page Scan Test

I scan up to 500 pages of the website in order to summarise the page code and content. These are crucial for search engine positioning and represent the content of your website. For instance, a list of pages and their headings will be shown.

The test also detects missing files and pages as well as other link issues.

The results of this test can serve as the basis for the site’s content review and audit.

Site Overview Test

The tests mentioned above are quite focused on just two aspects of the website, however, the Overview provides a summary of a wide variety of other factors. For instance, social media following, coding requirements, spelling accuracy, and reading comprehension levels are some of these.

I also check the site with my web developer’s eyes on mobile devices, which might spot usability problems that might turn off potential buyers. I evaluate things like usability, mobile efficacy, and call to actions using my four years of web development and usability experience.

Outcome

The Website Health Check is made to provide you with a thorough analysis of your website.

My reports might lead to a few quick fixes, which you can discuss with your site designer or developer. Or, ask me to look into it more (cost and objectives to be discussed).

Having a plan for website improvement now gives you a good starting point.
